The Mission of the Genesee County Historical Society is to Preserve, to Educate and to Document the History of Genesee County.

To Preserve:  The Society activity supports the preservation of our past.

To Educate, and to Document the History of Genesee County:  The Historical Society seeks to increase community understanding of the area's rich and varied past through its programming, publications and the Clarence Young Essay Contest.
