Many of the postcards that appear in this book were mailed more that 60 or 70 years ago, often bearing simple messages between friends and family members.  Now the images are seen again, sharing the fascinating history of Flint, Michigan.  Images include Flint's train stations, the original steel arches over Saginaw Street, street cars, early wagon and automobile factories.  You'll also find many of the city's churches, schools, stores, theaters, amusement parks, and major fire and flood events within this collection.

This postcard book was a project of the Genesee County Historical Society for Flint's sesquicentennial.  It was researched and written by two of the Historical Society's past presidents, Robert Florine and David White, along with Dale Ladd, past president of the Flint Genealogical Society, and James Miller, Flint Journal reporter.  The Scharchburg Archives at Kettering University assisted in the digitization of the postcards for the publication.
